Nephi was settled in 1851 by early Mormon Pioneers. The community was originally called Salt Creek because of the stream running through the community and the salt mines located in the canyons east of town.
Today Nephi is once again a bustling community lying on the south edge of the Wasatch Front. Nephi offers an attractive environment for residents and businesses alike.
